Donate to the Foodbank
Not needed at present:
Chick peas or other pulses, e.g. red kidney beans, butter beans, lentils. Thank you.
The Food Bank is entirely dependent on donations, either of food or money, and we are always grateful for everything we receive. However, we tend to end up with more of some items than others, and it might surprise you to know which items we are most in need of if you are able to make a donation. As each pack provides 3 hot meals, as well as breakfast and lunch items, tins of meat meals such as chicken in white sauce, curry or chilli con carne are particularly useful, as are tinned fish and pasta sauces. Also, tins of ham or corned beef (large and small) and fish go down well.
We also give toiletries - soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toilet paper - in each pack and donations of these are always welcome.
Litres of UHT semi-skimmed milk and fruit juices are also great. That said, we would be very grateful for any of the items on the list below - thank you for your generosity.
Food donations can be left in the Cathedral at any time when the building is open, in the blue box near the entrance to the Cathedral shop. If you have a larger donation, such as a contribution from a workplace or church, it would be much appreciated if you would contact us, and we will try to arrange a mutually convenient time for your donation to be collected or for you to deliver. Thank you very much.
